Best Music Player for windows phone earlier was introduced as two separate apps in windows phone store: As a paid version and an ad supported free version. This made migration from free version to paid version difficult as while migrating from free to paid version, a free version user couldn't migrate the app data such as custom playlists, moods, custom settings etc to the paid version of the app as when the free version user bought the paid version, the paid version was installed as a new separate apps on the phone. To solve this difficulty I needed to take the though decision of stopping the development of the free version and introduce a trial version of the paid app.

Now the evaluation of the app and then upgrading to paid version is seemless process. Songs page:

Tap a song's name or play icon, on its left, to play an individual song.
Tap '+' icon to add the song to selected songs list.
Tapping and holding a song's name on various pages, brings a pop up menu that provide options to add the song to custom playlist or mood of your choice.

Albums page:

Tap an album's play icon, on its left, to play all songs of the album.
Tap an album's name to see the album's details and song list.
Tap '+' icon to add all songs of the album to selected songs list.

Artists page:

Tap an artists's play icon, on its left, to play all songs of the artist.
Tap an artist's name to see the artist's album and song lists.
Tap '+' icon to add all songs of the artist to selected songs list.

Playlists page:

Tap a playlist's play icon, on its left, to play all songs of the playlist.
Tap a playlist's name to see the playlist's song list.
Tap '+' icon to add all songs of the playlist to selected songs list.

Genres page:

Tap a genre's play icon, on its left, to play all songs of the genre.
Tap a genre's name to see the genre's album and song lists.

Selected page:

Selected songs list is meant for selecting songs for playing a medley or to create or update a custom playlist.
Songs can be added to selected songs list by clicking in '+' icons on various screens of the app.
Up to 1000 songs can be added in selected songs list.
Tap '-' icon to the right of a song to remove it from selected songs list.
Tap 'clear selected songs list' to remove all songs from selected songs list. Please note that this would also stop current playing medley.

Medley:

When you play a medley, the player would shuffle the selected list songs and play them for small random durations.
Tap 'play selected songs as medley' menu to start playing the medley.
If clicking on play medley menu doesn't start playing medley then please check to ensure that the selected songs list is not empty.
Want to listen to the same set of songs again and again as medley? It's really simple to do. Add all your favorite songs in selected songs list and then save the list as a custom playlist. Now whenever you want to play this set of songs as medley, just use '+' icon of the custom playlist to load the songs in selected songs list and tap 'play selected songs as medley'.
The shuffle and repeat buttons will be disabled in medley mode.
While a medley is playing, if you play a song using options other then play medley then medley play would stop.
You can use next and previous song buttons of the app to change current medley song manually. The medley can be paused/resumed using the play/pause button of the app.
The medley can be paused/resumed using the universal volume control play/pause button of Windows Phone as well. But please note that you can not change the current playing medley song using the next and previous song buttons of universal volume control of Windows Phone. For changing current playing medley song you must use the next and previous song buttons provided in the app.
Tap 'clear selected songs list' to remove all songs from selected songs list. Please note that this would also stop current playing medley.
On settings page you can set the minimum and maximum medley song play duration between 1 and 5 minutes.
Medley can keep playing under the lockscreen as well if you have allowed the app to run under lock screen. Please make sure that the 'Allow app to run under lock screen' switch is set to On in settings. Songs would not change automatically in medley mode, under lock screen, if this setting is set to Off. You need to restart the app for a change in this setting to take effect.
But medley can't switch between songs if you exit from the app or navigate away from the app, by pressing Start button or switching to a different app, as the app is deactivated by the Windows Phone.
If the app is in medley mode and you try to exit from the app, the app asks if you really wish to exit, informing you that the medley would stop and the selected songs list would be cleared if you exit from the app. If you click Ok the app would exit and the selected songs list would be cleared but if you click Cancel then the app would not exit and would continue to be in medley mode.

Custom playlists:

To create a custom playlist, just add songs of your choice to selected songs list by using the '+' icons on various screens of the app and then tap 'save selected songs as playlist'. On the screen that comes up select an existing custom playlist's name to overwrite the existing custom playlist or enter a new name to create a new custom playlist.
To update/edit an existing custom playlist, just add songs of the custom playlist in selected songs list by using the '+' icon of the custom playlist. Now use '+' and '-' icons to add and remove songs from selected song list. Once you are done, tap 'save selected songs as playlist'. On the screen that comes up select the existing custom playlist's name to update custom playlist.
Tap a custom playlist's play icon, on its left, to play all songs of the custom playlist.
Tap a custom playlist's name to see the custom playlist's song list.
Tap '+' icon to add all songs of the custom playlist to selected songs list.

Search:

The app allows you to search songs, albums, artists, playlists and genres containing a specified word or phrase.
Just specify a word or phrase and tap search icon or just press Enter key while the focus is still in the search textbox.
Tap undo search icon, at right edge of search field, to clear the search field and search results. Another way to clear search results is to delete the text in search textbox and press Enter key while the focus is still in the search textbox.

Shuffle and play all:

Tap shuffle and play all menu if you want to shuffle and play all songs from your music library.

Now playing page:

Tap anywhere in now playing section of the menu at bottom of main screen (where the small album art icon and the song progress indicator are shown) to go to the Now Playing page. The page lists details of the now playing song and also lists down the songs in current playing list.
Swipe left or right on now playing section of the menu to change songs.
Also on now playing page swipe left or right to change songs and tap on album art or song details to control song play pause.

Drive mode page:

Tap drive mode menu at bottom of main screen to bring up the drive mode page.
Drive mode keeps the screen on and prevents locking of the phone.
Just tapping anywhere on the screen would control song play pause,
Swipe left or right to change songs.
The screen also displays the current battery charge status.
